Program Chair Sandy Hayes reflects on the 2012 Convention:
“In reading through the mountain of session proposals, I realized that we [NCTE members] . . . have the capacity to see things not only as they are but also as they could be. We aspire to change our world by embracing complexity, considering research, collaborating, working hard, and stretching toward an ideal. We all, both newcomers and long-comers, will be ignited by this fusion of vision and reality that enriches the convention program.”

IMPORTANT NOTICE: NCTE has received several reports that wholesalers have been contacting some attendees and exhibitors offering great deals on hotels for the NCTE Annual Convention. While it is not illegal for a travel firm or booking agent to solicit potential customers, it can be difficult to determine the legitimacy of offers from these organizations. Those who opt for alternatives to the NCTE negotiated rates may find themselves at risk. NCTE reminds its attendees that we have no affiliation with any of these room brokers. The official NCTE Housing is done through the MGM Grand website that is linked to the NCTE Convention page.
Transportation: Round-trip shuttle service is available from the airport for $14.00.
