How to Form an NCTE Affiliate
NCTE and its affiliates create a powerful partnership for the teaching of English language arts at a national and grassroots level. The affiliation process involves the completion of an application which is presented to the NCTE Executive Committee for a vote. If the application is approved, a letter is sent to both the president and the liaison officers announcing the approval of a new affiliate. NCTE Student Affiliates provide the opportunity for preservice teachers to network and gain experience in professional learnin and leadership. NCTE would like to present you with the opportunity to set up a student affiliate at your college or university. Currently, there are 30 student affiliates.
