NCTE and First Book are working together to put more high-quality books into the hands of children in need across the country and in Canada. Through this partnership, NCTE and First Book will connect thousands of educators to new books for their students.
Throughout its 100-year history, NCTE has emphasized the importance of access to libraries and to books and is excited to give its members the opportunity to register to take part in the program. Any teacher serving 70% or more children in need (US and Canada), or any teacher in a Title I or Title I-eligible school (US) may sign up.
Sign up during the Registration Drive through June 8 to have the chance to win a $250 (US) grant for purchasing books from the First Book Marketplace.

First Book, a nonprofit organization that celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, has distibuted more than 90 million books and educational resources to programs and schools serving children from low-income families throughout the United States and Canada.
