NCTE and First Book are working together to put more high-quality books into the hands of children in need across the country and in Canada. Through this partnership, NCTE and First Book will connect thousands of educators to new books for their students.
Throughout its 100-year history, NCTE has emphasized the importance of access to libraries and to books and is excited to give its members the opportunity to register to take part in the program. Any teacher serving 70% or more children in need (US and Canada), or any teacher in a Title I or Title I-eligible school (US) may sign up. NCTE members registering during the Registration Drive though June 8 will have the chance to win a $250 (US) grant to purchase books on the First Book Marketplace.
