Email Your Member of Congress to
Support NCTE’s National Day on Writing 
Please take just a few minutes to send a letter to your members of Congress
- telling them how important writing is to you and your students and
- asking them to support a resolution making October 20, 2009, the National Day on Writing.
Next week, on April 23, some NCTE members will attend NCTE's Literacy Education Advocacy Day in Washington, D.C. You can pave the way for the message they will personally carry to the Hill by writing your legislators now.
Together we can make clear how important education is to move our country forward and how vital writing is to our citizens' learning and lives.
