Nation’s Report Card 2003: Reading

The 2003 NAEP report on reading shows no significant change in scores over the last year. The percentage of 4th and 8th graders reading at proficiency or greater remains unchanged at just over 30%. For the first time, the 2003 report analyzes state achievement for all states and the District of Columbia.

Highlights of the report can be found here: http://nces.ed.gov/nationsreportcard/reading/results2003/.
