Institutions "Nationally Recognized" by NCTE
The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) has adopted the NCTE program standards for undergraduate programs for Initial Preparation of Teachers of Secondary English Language Arts. Institutions seeking NCATE accreditation submit their English education programs for review to NCTE. Listed are the current institutions whose English education programs have been reviewed and are "nationally recognized" by NCTE.
