Communications Intern

We are seeking an intern to join our Communications Division 15 hours/week for up to 15 weeks during the summer (May-July).  This position is responsible for working with the communications team to research, prepare and communicate the organization’s positions and news to NCTE members, related organizations, the media, parents, the public, and the NCTE grassroots networks and to track the results of NCTE’s media and public relations efforts.  The position does receive a stipend.

The successful applicant will be currently enrolled in a degree program in Communications, Public Relations, or a related discipline; will possess excellent oral and written communication skills; and will have knowledge of or ability to quickly and easily learn various computer programs, including all Microsoft Office programs, Internet Explorer, and Outlook.
