Assistant Professor in English Education
ENGLISH - Full-time, academic year, tenure track Assistant Professor in English Education at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, California, to begin September 14, 2009. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment to teach English methods, adolescent/children's literature, supervise student teachers, and develop English education program curricula in cooperation with the College of Education faculty.
Assistant Professor or Instructor, Continuing Non-Tenure Track
The University of Delaware Department of English seeks applications for an assistant professor or instructor in the English Education program (Grades 7-12). A doctorate in a relevant field is required for appointment at the rank of assistant professor, and at least 3 years of successful secondary-level English teaching is also required. Responsibilities include teaching English pedagogy, developing and teaching courses in adolescent literature and media literacy, and mentoring student-teachers.
Assistant Professor of Reading/Early Childhood
Asst. Professor of Reading/ECE Duties incl. teaching reading, early literacy, early childhood education in traditional campus-based courses and in development and delivery of web-based courses. Applicants must have earned doctorate in reading, language & literacy, early childhood education or related field. ABD considered with stipulations. Teaching experience of at least three years at elementary level is required.
Director of English Education
The Department of English at Elizabethtown College is accepting applications for a tenure-track Director of English Education at the Assistant or Associate level. The position includes supervising student teachers as well as teaching courses in methods and in literature and/or writing. This position will begin in Fall 2009.
