Multiple Roles of Council Leaders

In considering potential committee members, the chair should remember that these individuals are often committed to other, potentially conflicting Council roles.  By consulting the index of the NCTE Directory, the Multiple Roles Policy and Chart of Potential Conflicts (Appendix A), and the headquarters staff liaison officer (who has the most recent information on members' roles), the chair can discover whether a potential member's current commitments are likely to conflict with committee meetings and activities.
