Support for the Learning and Teaching of English (SLATE)

SLATE seeks to influence public attitudes and policy decisions affecting the teaching of English language arts at local, state, and national levels; to implement and publicize the policies adopted by NCTE; and serves as NCTE’s intellectual freedom network.

To support local advocacy outreach and the defense of intellectual freedom, please consider designating your annual gift to the SLATE Fund. These funds may be used to create SLATE starter sheets, Action Alerts designed to mobilize local support on legislative matters, or to support the anti-censorship center and related activities.
