NCTE Fund for Special Initiatives

This campaign represents a continuation of the Fund established in the early 1970s.  The central goals of enhancing the teaching of English language arts remain the same, but we are attempting to expand both the giving opportunities and the range of projects supported by the Fund.

Contributions at these levels of giving will enable the Fund to continue to support these activities and others like them: 

• assistance with leadership training
• celebrations of achievement in teaching and scholarship
• scholarships for students of color preparing to enter our profession
• convention presentations by distinguished researchers living outside the U.S.
• lifetime achievement awards for outstanding members of our profession
• awards for innovative programs developed by NCTE affiliates
