Find out how you can support NCTE activities as a philanthropic organization and explore the advantages and rewards of various giving options! NCTE now offers three ways to make charitable giving easier:
The NCTE Fund accepts gifts in a variety of forms so that prospective donors may choose the types of gifts that they perceive to be the most efficient, personally satisfying, and financially advantageous for both themselves and the Fund.
SLATE seeks to influence public attitudes and policy decisions affecting the teaching of English language arts at local, state, and national levels; to implement and publicize the policies adopted by NCTE; and serves as NCTE’s intellectual freedom network.
James R. Squire, who served in the Executive Director role for NCTE from 1960 to 1967, passed away on June 8, 2003. Jim has left a remarkable legacy to NCTE and the English language arts profession. We mourn his passing and celebrate his lifetime of achievement.
In anticipation of the 100th anniversary of NCTE, a new giving category has been established. Contributions from members of the Century Club will be used to underwrite new initiatives.
